Vacancy – Trainee Lettings Negotiator

Working in our central St Ives office Mon-Fri, typically 9-5 covering 40 hours a week – paying up to £22,000 p.a.

We hope this person shows the aptitude to develop to be one of our great lettings negotiators

Main Job functions:

  • To handle all customer enquiries positively and professionally
  • To conduct viewings of available properties with applicants
  • To ensure relevant marketing material sent to all relevant properties on the market
  • To ensure office marketing and supplies are accurate and up to date
  • To support the rest of the lettings team to provide a great service

  • Able to be positive and enthusiastic when meeting or talking with people
  • Able to actively listen to properly understand the needs of customers
  • Able to ask appropriate questions in a way which helps identify the needs of customers
  • Able to successfully summarise a conversation so everyone is clear

Working style

  • Able to successfully communicate with others openly, positively and confidently in written and verbal English
  • Able to meet deadlines and work well in a target driven environment
  • Able to demonstrate an unflustered attitude and diplomatic approach
  • Able to complete or properly progress all work when there are many ongoing and incoming activities

General

  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Able to organise and appropriately prioritise work that needs doing
  • Able to work with colleagues of different skills as part of an effective team
  • Able to use computers for accurate records and communication
  • Able to drive to attend appointments, often at short notice

Experience – the following would be desirable, but is not essential as full training will be provided

  • Working with property, particularly in residential lettings
