Blog from the dogs: St Patrick’s Day
HAPPPY ST PATRICK’S DAY, TED!
Happy St Patrick’s Day Smudge.
I’ve been talking to my friend Riley the Irish Setter, and have some pretty cool facts for you.
I will sit here and sip my celebratory Guinness whilst you fire away Smudge
Firstly, did you know that the Shamrock that represents Ireland, is NOT The same as a four leaf clover even though both symbolise luck… what are you doing?
I’m hastily deleting my St. Patrick’s day tweet, complete with picture of a four leaf clover… go on, I’m listening.
Well according to Riley, St. Patrick is actually thought to have been born in Wales.
Really?!
Yep, and that Guinness you’re drinking? On a normal day, you’d be one of 5.5 million. On St Patrick’s Day, you’re one of about 11 million.
That’s quite a few!
Yes, yes it is! So, a happy St. Patrick’s Day to everyone – and let’s hope the shamrock Riley gave me gives us a little sprinkle of luck for the ESTAS which we’ve been shortlisted for!
