Local independent letting specialist Maxine Lester Residential of St Ives, Cambridge swept the board at The Sunday Times Letting Agency of the Year Awards, held at the prestigious London Lancaster Hotel last Friday.
The awards were entered by over 5,000 letting agents and consisted of a rigorous mystery shopping exercise and interviews carried out by a panel of industry experts, presided over by The Property Ombudsman Katrine Sporle CBE.
The prizes were presented to the best agents in the UK by England rugby and Olympic Team GB legend Sir Clive Woodward in front of a packed audience. The judges mentioned in their report:
“Maxine Lester Residential Lettings is amazing and the level of detail provided is excellent; Maxine herself is passionate, articulate and knowledgeable; training is exemplary so everyone is confident when dealing with difficult situations and the mystery shopping scores were practically perfect”.
Maxine Lester walked away with 3 GOLD awards:
UK Best Single Office Letting Agent.
UK Best Customer Service (Small Agency);
Best East of England Letting Agent.
Speaking to company founder Maxine after her wins, she said “We knew that this competition was the one to win but the judging process is so harsh and all of the top agencies in the UK enter. We were bowled over to be announced as the best agent in our region, and then to top it off, best for customer service in the entire Country and best single office letting agency in the UK.”
“We went along with hope in our hearts but never for one moment thought that we would come away with three amazing Golds. Our achievement was put into perspective when we realized we had made it to the Grand Prix UK prize and were being judged against the likes of big agencies such as Connells and Foxtons. It’s all down to the great team we have and our super customers who make everything worthwhile.”
