Vacancy – Contracts Executive (Maternity cover)

Our lovely Contracts Executive Tania is going to have a baby – yippee. The downside is we need someone to cover her maternity leave! This gives you a fabulous opportunity to get your teeth into a very interesting role and join our fantastic team. If you are good with detail, great with people and very organised this will be the perfect role for you.

Working in our central St Ives office for 40 hours a week M-F. We also work 1 Saturday morning in 3 for which is time taken in lieu. We would consider a job share of 2 part time people, provided we could still cover the overall hours.

Starting Salary £20,000-£22,000 p.a. based on experience, paid monthly, plus team bonus.

The role may suit someone from accountancy background (who is fed up with figures!) or a compliance background (e.g. insurance, solicitors office). This would not be suitable for a trainee.

We ideally need someone who has the following attributes – however this is an ideal wish list – none of us are a perfect match for our jobs! So, if you think you meet some of these attributes then please apply:

  • Able to handle contractual queries and understand formal documents
  • Able to consistently follow processes and systems, highlighting any differences
  • Able to record and enter information into computer programmes accurately and consistently, checking for errors as needed
  • Able to organise work very well, identifying and appropriately prioritising work that needs doing
  • Able to meet deadlines in a busy target driven environment
  • Able to work in a systematic and structured way to ensure nothing gets missed
  • Able to find errors or missing detail in documents or records
  • Able to recognise new or irregular issues, take initiative to understand and address these or, where needed, seek advice to get resolved.
Communication
  • Able to communicate openly, positively and confidently with others in written and verbal English
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
Motivation
  • Prefers ensuring even the detailed aspects of a job are properly completed
  • Prefers completing all work on time, or before
General
  • Able to use computers for accurate records and communication
  • Able to complete general office administration tasks well
  • Able to work with colleagues of different skills as part of an effective team

Experience

The following would be desirable, but is not essential as full training will be provided

  • Working with property, particularly in residential lettings
  • Selling, particularly as an agent or broker
